- Video Metadata: We retrieve video titles, thumbnails, descriptions, publication dates, and channel information from your YouTube account.
- User Preferences: Categories you create, video categorizations, and your organizational preferences are stored locally in your browser.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely to:
- Display and organize your YouTube subscriptions, playlists, and videos
- Enable you to create custom categories for organizing your content
- Provide video playback functionality within the application
- Save your preferences and organizational structure locally on your device
Data Storage and Security
Secure Cloud Storage: Your organizational data (categories, preferences, video organization) is securely stored and synced across your devices using Firebase, Google's cloud database platform. This allows you to access your organized content from any device.
Local + Cloud Storage: Data is stored both locally in your browser (for quick access and offline support) and in Firebase Cloud Firestore (for cross-device synchronization). All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
User Isolation: Your data is isolated using your unique YouTube Channel ID as an identifier. Only you can access your data. We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication, which means we don't store any additional personal information beyond what's necessary for the service to function.
No Commercial Use: We will NEVER sell your data, share it with third parties for advertising purposes, or use it to profit in any way. Your data is confidential and used solely to provide you with the YouTube organization service.
Google OAuth: Authentication with YouTube is handled securely through Google's OAuth 2.0 system. Your Google password is never shared with or accessible to YouTube Organizer.

YouTube Organizer uses the following third-party services:
- YouTube Data API v3: To access and display your YouTube data. This service is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google OAuth 2.0: For secure authentication with YouTube. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase (Google Cloud): For secure cloud storage and synchronization of your organizational data across devices. Firebase is operated by Google and subject to Firebase's Privacy and Security Policy.
